How do I handle AI-written code that no human fully understands?

Set a readability bar at ingestion

The first line of defense is refusing to ingest code you cannot read. Establish a readability bar for every agent-authored patch: clear naming, no dense one-liners, docstrings on public surfaces. bRRAIn's Code Sandbox is the enforcement point — it rejects patterns your team has flagged as unreviewable, long before a human wastes time on them. This is not about aesthetic preference; unreadable code is operational risk you cannot audit. Require new tests with every agent-authored patch, and let the Code Sandbox reject patches that reduce coverage. Over time, the test suite becomes a specification written in executable form — a specification that stays true even when the code drifts. The combination of readability, ADRs, grounded explanations, and tests makes "no human understands this" a preventable condition, not an inevitable one.
